Firstly we must say a huge thank you to everyone, family, friends, colleagues, partners and customers for fantastic support during 2015. Whilst it has definitely been a challenging year, we feel we are well set for 2016, and we couldn’t do it without all your support. We genuinely wish you all the best for the holiday season and a very prosperous New Year.
This is my first experience of being a Shareholder / Director, and I have to say despite many years in business there has been an awful lot to learn. Having never worked in the SAP space before, there was a lot to learn there in terms of whose businesses run SAP, and from a technology point of view, finding out what the key challenges are that relate to our chosen technologies (Data Governance from Back Office Associates and enosiX when I joined).
We are so pleased to be the UKs Premier Partner with enosiX during 2015, and are genuinely excited about the prospects for 2016. We have a healthy pipeline of opportunities, and the enosiX framework capabilities are set to expand. Currently the framework enables Native SAP mobility for .NET developers without the need for ABAP and handles integration. In Q1 2016, the framework will be able to connect to REST services also. This means you can also build hybrid container apps, and doesn’t limit you to building in .NET. Additionally, we will not be limited to SAP with Oracle EBS, Peoplesoft and MS dynamics all in the pipeline. We are therefore talking about a true technology agnostic platform to accelerate building applications for ERP systems.
We all had a vision for how the year would pan out, and I’m sure it won’t be a surprise to hear this has changed as we have matured. We have expanded our Technology capability with near shore development services, and enhanced our technology services with partnerships in place with Odin Axe, Intelligent Testing and BlueSense Networks.
From a go to market perspective, we have now partnered with Softcat, and have many ongoing partner discussions in process with IBM, CapGemini, Fujitsu and Softools to name a few. We have also engaged with a Company to ensure we are part of the Governments Digital Services Framework so we can maximise our market coverage and potential.
As we expand, we are looking for new office space in and around Brighton, and we are delighted, as an interim move to be taking office space alongside Wired Sussex. This puts us at the heart of the Digital community and the Digital Catapult Centre Brighton that will launch a programme of events to help create opportunities for SMEs, big business, public sector and academia to collaborate and unlock new value for the Coast to Capital area.
Finally, we are delighted to have hired Nick Hines as CTO to head up our on-shore Development Capability and Technical Consulting division. Nick brings a wealth of experience in this area, and it’s a real coup for Green Lemon and an endorsement of our technology and capability that Nick has decided to join us.
So, who knows what 2016 will bring? There’s no doubt the path to running a successful IT Consulting Business will always have challenges; however, what I do know is we have a great team at Green Lemon, and we are all commitment and motivated to make a hugely positive difference to our customers in 2016.
Bring it on!
